Next to the station building you will find the coffee bar “Elefant”, located in an historic, typical wooden building. The specific name is a rememberance to the last Jewish forestry business man, who owned one of the biggest saw mills in Viseu until his displacement in 1940. For thise reason you will find one of the rooms in this building equipped with a small museum for the jewish history of Viseu de Sus; this exhibition will open in the near future. Ready for use is the stylish coffee lounge where you can enjoy an exquisite coffee with cookies even at the early morning. Or you might enjoy a glas of wine in the evening after the arrival of the steam train. Let your day full of experiences end comfortably stting at the wooden patio or at a table in the garden...
